The advantage of the HDTV is not worth mentioning in a small sized television but a good picture quality is observed in the models with screen size of 26 inches and more. Surround sound feature is another benefit of the HDTV’s since they create a feeling of the viewer in the action. As a result a home theatre experience is generated in the viewer.

There are HDTV receivers available which has the digital recorders. They record programs and allow the viewer to watch the programs in their preferred time with out any TV commercials. Live shows can be paused and also helps in viewing one program while another program can be recorded simultaneously. Other attributes include picture-in-picture, remote controllable, alarm timer etc.
